We are currently hiring 1 Hospital Distribution Worker to join our team!

Hours: 5:00 AM-1:30 PM, Thursday through Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. Overtime is expected and mandatory.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for working at Methodist Hospital, completing a variety of department-related tasks. Reliable transportation to Methodist Hospital will be required. Shifts Start at 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Thursday-Monday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

While at Methodist Hospital, you will deliver linen, count linen, and enter on-hand inventory using tablets. You must be able to work overtime.

This position requires the following skills:

Be able to work independently and communicate with hospital personnel.
Must have basic English verbal communication skills.
Reliable transportation to and from the hospital
Attendance is an essential function of the job.

While at the main operation site, you are responsible for inspecting and folding custom linens, ensuring that finished products are of high quality, processing lab coats and warm-up jackets.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Communicate with others to exchange information.
Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.
Proactive and self-motivated, with high attention to detail and follow-through.
Strong interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to work and communicate in a richly diverse environment.
Good communication skills.
Energetic, self-starter.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Comfortable utilizing a tablet.
Basic communication in English is required.
Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift, such as push, pull, and lift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand/walk most of the day and also required to repeat motions to: sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must constantly push and pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Fast-paced production environment-non-climate-controlled environment. Union environment with a diverse workforce and multiple languages. Seven days per week operation-weekends required-nights may be required.
